First off understand that the ReplayTV will not be able to record in High Definition [HD or HDTV], only Standard Definition [SD or SDTV].

Make the physical connections as you would connect the ReplayTV to a regular TV.  Refer to the owner's manual or user guide for specific connection setup.  Additionally setting up a DVD player on the same television would be very similar.  See the article below for configuring outputs for the ReplayTV.

Be advised that the picture from the ReplayTV will not look as good as a channel in HD.  Additionally in most cases the picture will have black bars on the left and right hand sides.
